RIDE LOCATION

Embassy Diner: All official Chapter rides depart from the parking lot across from the Embassy Diner unless otherwise specified. The diner is located at 4280 Hempstead Tpke., Bethpage NY 11714.

Unless otherwise posted Wednesday and Sunday will be open rides leaving from the diner at 1000Hrs.  All Blue Knight rides are rain or shine; if you cannot attend by bike please attend by car. KSU is at 1030 Hrs unless otherwise posted.  to get credit for any ride wear your Blue Knight vest, jacket or tee shirt identifying you as a Blue Knight and Chapter member to the ride.

 

MEETING DATES & LOCATION

BKNYX meetings are the 2nd. & 4th. Wednesday of every month @ 1900Hrs, BrewSA, 180 Woodcleft Ave., Freeport 11520.

Please wear your Blue Knights vest, jacket or T-shirt identifying you as a Blue Knight and Chapter member at ALL MEETINGS & CHAPTER RIDES.

New York Blue Knights X CHAPTER RIDING RULES

The Road Captain is in COMPLETE CHARGE of all Chapter rides.  Riders will ride in a staggered formation and maintain that position unless otherwise directed by the Road Captain.

Do not make lane changes on your own. Wait until directed by the Road Captain to change lanes.

 

Members are permitted to bring guest to any ride. A guest of any member will be the sole responsibility of said member. The member will inform his/her guest as to the rules. The member shall make sure that his/her guest has a valid motorcycle license.

Guests will ride in the rear of the pack as stated in item 5, c, Rules of the Road

Arrive with a Full Tank of gas, your Bladder Empty and your bike ready to ride!

 

HAND SIGNALS

The following hand signals will be used by the Road Captain to communication with the group. When a signal is received from the Road Captain pass the signal on to the rider behind you.

 

Only Signal with your LEFT hand

 

Left hand up with two fingers moving back and forth Staggered Formation
Left hand up with one finger Single File
Left hand up with two fingers Stationary Two Abreast
Left hand and arm pointing straight out Left Turn
Left hand pointing up with arm the angle of a square Right Turn
Left hand and arm extended down moving up and down Slow Down
Left hand and arm downward moving back and forth Grated Roadway or Road Hazard
Left hand tapping helmet Rider has a Problem
